Many years ago, my best friend Rachel introduced me
to her friend Molly. Soon after, I met her soon-to-be husband David
Anderson. David is a great guy and a wonderful chef. When I first
met him, he was the head chef at a wonderful restaurant in Santa
Monica & Molly was the manager there as well..
David & Molly left that restaurant to open their
very own place in Tarzana (in the San Fernando Valley) called,
Madeleine Bistro.
David is actually
more of an artist than a chef. What he can do with food is simply amazing. I
have to admit, I really don't like vegetables very much, but David
makes them taste great! I don't know what he does to them, but mix
vegetables with his craft and you're in for one heck of a meal.
I've been blessed to be invited to celebrate
Thanksgiving with David, Molly & their family. I have to admit, I
never knew a vegetarian could have such savory dishes for a
Thanksgiving Meal. I didn't even miss the turkey & stuffing from my
childhood.
If you have a sweet tooth, (like I do), then visit
Madeleine Bistro for a wonderful treat. I think Dave is best known for his vegan
desserts. My mother is a hard core chocoholic and very hard to
please. She has given 2 thumbs up for David's famous Flourless
Chocolate Cake. All of his desserts are tasty. These sweets may
be vegan, but they leave you wanting for nothing, but more room in
your tummy for an extra bite.
I suggest whatever daily special they are featuring
at
Madeleine Bistro.
It's sure to be delightful. David is a genius and Molly will make you feel right at home
in their beautifully decorated restaurant. This is definitely a
great place to celebrate with your close friends or that special
someone.
Everything on the menu is Vegan and über
scrumptious. The Anderson's have created a wonderful environment for
fine dining and raised the bar for gourmet (and especially vegetarian)
splendor.
