Oh, the Memories...
When I started swing dancing, we would travel
all the way to Tustin to a club called Memories. It was a
long drive from Hollywood, but they had dancing on the weekends
till 5am in the morning.
That location no longer exists, but the
management has resurrected the Memories Dance Venue in
Uptown Whittier. Memories is a great place to go swing
dancing with friends and to make new ones on the dance floor.
Memories is open for swing dancing on Monday nights.
They have a great dance floor as well as a full
bar and a stage for live bands. If you're new to swing dancing,
or would like to brush up on some steps, there are also dance
lessons held upstairs on Mondays& Wednesdays. Dancing at Memories is a bargain.
Swing Mondays are only $3 for a whole night of Swing Dancing.
